With a motto like “one song, one take, one cab”, I had to check it out, and I was glad I did.
The Black Cab Sessions is a series of one-song performances by musicians, with a twist. It’s recorded in the back of a black cab, more so a hackney carriage. Most of the performances feature popular acts such as Death Cab for Cutie, Bon Iver, and Damien Jurado. I was an immediate sucker for this. They’ve now done nearly 50 sessions, all posted on their Web site, so go ahead and check it out here.
